Wormwood
Wormwood
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a bitter herb that stimulate the production of digestives enzymes, which creates better conditions for nutrient absorption and digestion. Wormwood also stimulates saliva, stomach mucus, and intestinal secretions, all of which may ease digestive symptoms. Wormwood is used to eliminate intestinal worms, including pinworms, roundworms, and tapeworms. Wormwood contains antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that are effective against a broad spectrum of bacterial strains, including E. coli and salmonella. It also has antifungal properties that inhibit the growth of candida albicans, a common type of yeast infections in the mouth, intestinal tract, and vagina. Wormwood has anti-inflammatory properties that make it an effective treatment for Crohn's disease, an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes swelling of the tissues in the digestive tract which can lead to abdominal pain, severe diarrhea, and fatigue.
