Gentian Root

Gentian Root (Gentianaceae) has antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral properties. It has antioxidant properties that help to protect cells from free radical damage and oxidative stress that could lead to chronic disease. Gentian stimulates the production of bile, which not only aids digestion, but also transports toxins and excess hormones through the liver, into the gut, where they can be excreted. Gentian is applied to the skin for treating various types of wounds, fungal infections, and harmful bacteria.
