Echinacea

Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea, Echinacea angustifolia) is widely known for its ability to prevent and treat influenza. It contains active substances that boost immune function, relieve pain, reduce inflammation, have hormonal, antiviral, and antioxidant effects. Echinacea has been shown to be effective in treating urinary tract infections, vaginal (candida) yeast infections, ear infections, sinusitis, and hay fever. Echinacea is healing for the stomach and entire gastrointestinal tract and has been shown to work as a mild laxative that provides constipation relief.
